Two Men Accused for Prison Murder of Former Lostprophets Frontman Ian Watkins

A pair of suspects stand accused of murder in the wake of the jailhouse death of former Lostprophets singer and convicted child sex offender Ian Watkins.

Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43 now face murder accusations and are set to face Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, as stated by law enforcement officials.

Watkins, forty-eight, was in the midst of a 29-year prison term at HMP Wakefield, alongside six more years under supervision, after admitting a string of sex offences which included the attempted rape of a baby.

Watkins was arrested after the execution of a substance-related warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a large number of computers, mobile phones and storage devices were confiscated.
